Just realized that today is the 4th anniversary of G’Day World and therefore also the 4th anniversary of podcasting in Australia. A lot has changed in four years! And I’ve been fortunate enough to produce over 350 episodes and interview some amazing people. Thank you everyone for tuning in and for the continual support and encouragement.

Congrats Cam, well done on the fantastic range of content you’ve helped foster, both G’day World and the other TPN podcasts.
Whether or not it’s also the 4th anniversary of podcasting in Australia, I don’t know. Maybe it depends on how strictly you define podcast. I know I dabbled with a series of short programs distributed online many years ago, and I’d be surprised if others hadn’t done so before that. This was all pre-RSS though, so maybe it doesn’t count!

Just remember that even for MSFT it takes 7 years to go from the innovators to main street…so you need to keep going for at least another 3 years 🙂

Daniel, people were certainly doing audio on the net before me but yeah the defintion of podcast (according the wikipedia) is “a series of audio or video digital-media files which is distributed over the Internet by syndicated download, through Web feeds, to portable media players and personal computers.” Does it matter? I guess not.
CD – thanks mate and yeah you’re right, it takes time to build. I’m well, still trying to figure out how to make TPN pay though.
