The Australian Christian Churches told The Advertiser yesterday that it was auditing Mr Guglielmucci’s bank accounts, which included money donated from people touched by his hit song Healer.
Mr Guglielmucci confessed his two-year fraudulent cancer battle at a national executive meeting of the ACC on Saturday, and was stripped of his credentials.
The problem with this story, though, is it pretends that Guglielmucci is alone in being a fraud, when the entire Christian religion is based on lies, deception and fraud. As I’ve said many times before – there is ZERO evidence that Jesus even existed, let alone said or did the things that are attributed to him. There isn’t a single contemporary eyewitness account, Christian or non-Christian. He’s a myth, pure and simple.
None of this, however, has stopped a bunch of people over on the “Still Praying For Ps Mike Guglielmucci’s Wall” on Facebook to say things like
whether it is healing from cancer or healing from a mental illness, God is still the healer and Mike is still claiming that God is his healer…
He is still a wonderful guy, and an amazing person and we should continue to pray for him for healing now, just as we would have if he had cancer. He still is ill and still can and will be healed by our most loving Heavenly father. we cannot and will not condemn him, we have no right cos God never will condemn him either.
Which just goes to show that it doesn’t matter what evidence they are presented with, many Christians are just determined to believe in their fairy tales no matter what.
By the way, “Australian Christian Churches“, the collection of Pentecostal evangelical churches, is lead by Brian Houston, the founder of Hillsong, that scary bunch who also are behind Gloria Jean’s Coffee and Mercy Ministries.
I have noticed that all of a sudden that Hillsong have been using there copyright to get his videos pulled from youtube. why is that happening only just now
all these fools that said that got a spiritual touch from this man what do they say now? what was that warm fuzzy feeling they had ????
just an illusion thats all it was. but I’m sure these fools will have some spin, but no real proof to back this up.
please do your next g,day world podcast on this.
I spent so much time in that fools paradise, but i saw the light of reason.
I think perhaps hillsong might actually crucify that fool Mike Guglielmucci. that would ironic..
Oh great grey haired podcaster i ask that your nest podcast is about this.
I found the video is still available here:
Mike Guglielmucci: Healer / Hillsong Church from praise jam on Vimeo.
His sister Danielle was involved in the sham that is Mercy Ministries.
‘Nuff said.
S, got a link for that info?
Nah, nothing online. Her involvement is a known fact though. Ask any girl who was at Mercy Ministries in Sydney, around 2004 – 2005. Danielle was on staff there.
amazing stuff really.
the copyright infringement type censorship/backpedalling from hillsong is reminscent of another famous christian fall from grace, when kent hovind was imprisoned.
I forgot to mention that money was raised in Mike’s name for Mercy Ministries of America. There was a Facebook Cause (that has now been deleted, surprise surprise) called ‘Please Pray For Mike Guglielmucci’ and it was soliciting donations for Mercy.

I would highly suggest for you, and any one else interested to read the book ““The Devil’s Delusion: Atheism and its Scientific Pretensions.” by self-professed secular Jew and mathematics/philosophies teacher David Berlinski.
This tells the story of a Jew who was forced to dig his own grave prior to being shot by a German soldier. Prior to being shot, the old Jewish man advised the German that “God is watching what you are doing.†The Jewish gentleman pointed what i think is the real problem with atheism. “If you have the time please check the book out
Matt, see here for my response.
“I am not aware of any scholar who thinks Jesus Christ’s existance is doubtful. The documentary evidence is simply overwhelming.”
-Prof Graeme Clark, Australian National University.
(A non-Christian historian.)
Personally, I am aware of a professor who doesn’t believe there is evidence of Christ’s existance: Prof G.A. Wells of University of London, quoted in “the GOD delusion.” Unfortunately, this guy is a professor of German language, and so has nothing important to add to the scholarly pursuit of the historicity of Christ.
Amanda, if Prof Wells’ opinion doesn’t count, then neither does Prof Clark’s, as he is a doctor of Medicine, not history. See http://andosl.anu.edu.au/icslp98/GClark.html.
Nice try.
Here’s one for you:
Provide me with a single eyewitness account of Jesus or a single piece of contemporary writing about him.
Here is some reading for you from Richard Carrier, who has an M.Phil. in ancient history from Columbia University, with a graduate major in historiography, religion, and intellectual history, and has several years experience in Greek linguistics, including palaeography and papyrology.
I’ll sum it up for you.
1. There is not a single eyewitness account of Jesus in existence, nor do we have any record of one.
2. There is not a single contemporary account that mentions Jesus, nor do we have any record of one.
3. We have lots of accounts of people from his era who did much less important things or attracted much less attention. Why, then, is nothing written about him? This is what is called the “Argument from Silence”. When you have a historical figure who, it is claimed, did many amazing things, and yet nobody from his or her time wrote about him/her, then the Argument from Silence gets pretty strong, especially when lesser deeds WERE written about.
Amanda (and my other Christian readers) – are you brave enough to be honest with yourself? Are you courageous enough to admit that as there is not a single piece of evidence to support the existence of Jesus and his miraculous deeds, that therefore it just might be all mythology?
Or, despite the facts, are you still going to remain in denial?
If God isn’t real, than why do you care that he isn’t real?
I think it’s funny watching christians and atheists go back and forth!! LOL!
Jon, I care because 5 billion people around the world still believe in the existence and moral authority of an imaginary, violent and intolerant god. And while 5 billion of my fellow humans believe in a violent philosophy, we are all at risk.
I don’t believe in slavery either but if I saw it happening around me, I’d fight against it.
I don’t believe in racial segregation either but if I saw it happening around me, I’d fight against it.
I read this earlier today and thought of sharing it with you guys,
As Billy Graham poignantly noted some years ago, in reference to the moral problems of
certain American televangelists, thousands of aircraft land safely at the world’s airports every day – but the only time the media will take an interest is when one crashes.
Perhaps the first thing we must take from the fall of a leader is the fact that the frailty of the messenger does not negate the authority or truth of the message.
Every faithful believer and church leader should continue to share the Christian message without fear or cant. Though God’s messengers may sometimes fail (and haven’t we all, though perhaps in less public ways?) the message remains as hopeful, reliable, trustworthy and life-enhancing as ever.
In fact, it is often only when we see the scale of human frailty laid bare before us that we can appreciate the true power of redemption.
And the failure of a particular key figure should not taint our picture of all Christian leaders. (In fact, I know personally that some of the people closest to Michael are among the finest Christian leaders you will ever meet.)

so can I just ask how my working at mercy has anything to do with my brother? S?
Danielle, I don’t think it has anything to do with the trouble your brother has got himself into. I suspect “S” mentioned it because I’ve written and recorded a lot on Mercy over the last couple of years.
“I don’t believe in slavery either but if I saw it happening around me, I’d fight against it.
I don’t believe in racial segregation either but if I saw it happening around me, I’d fight against it.”
Does that mean that you see God all around you? I doubt it, so your issue seems to be with organised religion. Maybe?
Your examples show that you care about the people around you and the society in which we live. Why then are you so negative towards “stupid” Christians? Assuming that faith is a delusion, is abuse helpful? If a friend was delusional and had an imaginary friend, would calling him stupid and being rude about it help him? I doubt it.
If Christianity or any other religion is so wrong, then demonstrating that by means other than abuse is the only way to help them. And science is not the answer either. Even though science seems to always have an argument against faith, faith seems to always have an argument against science.
No, Sam, of course I don’t see god around me, what I see is people who believe in god all around me. I don’t think calling them “stupid” is abuse, it’s just a description. Stupid, delusional, dangerous… just description.
And what is faith’s “argument against science” exactly? Science is just an honest attempt to understand the facts of how the universe works. What genuine argument can there be against that?
