The Historicity of Jesus Series

Around 2006-2008 I produced a number of episodes looking at the evidence (or lack thereof) for the historicity of Jesus. I have compiled them below for easy reference. This was very early on in my exploration of the subject, all of which has lead to the documentary I’m producing in 2017, Inventing The Messiah.

Tim Freke is the co-author (with his writing partner Peter Gandy) of many books about the Jesus myth – including THE JESUS MYSTERIES and THE LAUGHING JESUS. I chatted with him recently about one of their books “The Gospel of the Second Coming”.

Ben Witherington III, an evangelical Biblical scholar and lecturer on New Testament Studies, who is currently Professor on the New Testament for Doctoral Studies at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky.

G’Day World #343 – Robert M Price “Did Jesus Exist?”
Robert M Price, a Professor of Theology and Scriptural Studies at the Johnnie Colemon Theological Seminary in Miami Gardens, Florida. He is a fellow of the Jesus Seminar and the author of many books and articles on religion.

Brian is the director of the 2005 documentary “The God Who Wasn’t There”.

John has degrees in theology (Moore Theological College) and ancient history (Macquarie University). He holds the position of Honorary Associate in the Department of Ancient History, Macquarie University.
