On this show I’m joined by Alex and Neil from Audacious Communications who, according to their website, are:
a creative communications agency that blends the power of online social media, podcasting, blogging and vcasting with the skills of professional public relations and organisational communication.
They recently made ten bold prediction for podcasting in 2006 and I was interested to learn a little bit more about the science behind their research methodology…
On the Podcasts for a shop floor. What about this:
1) Employer gives employees USB based MP3 Player
2) Have a computer on the floor/in the tea room.
3) Employee plugs in there player every x days. The computer has a sync program like Allway Sync that will automatically update the player.
3a) The computer has a podcatcher that catches the content.
What do you think?
Molly
yeah nice idea dude and we played around with that one. not sure how you’d set it up to work with multiple devices, but it sounds viable.
Check out Allway Sync, it is outstanding. It has an option to automatically sync when a drive letter appears (i.e. USB device is plugged in).

The title says “Alex and Nick”, but shouldn’t that be Neil? I thought it was Neil Dixon.
Cheers,
Steve
ummm yeah Steve, thanks for the pickup. I think my damaged brain parsed “Neil Dixon” as “Nixon”. Or something like that. Fixed now. 🙂
