My Dopod 838 Pro is five months old and on the blink! I have to drop it into the 3 repair joint tomorrow and god knows how long it will take to get it back. And my old XDA won’t work on the 3 network. I knew I should have listened to all y’all who told me not to move to 3!
Anyway… I have MODM coming up this week, and a busy week as it is. Heading to Sydney next week. All in all – I need a mobile that works!
Anyone out there got a spare (eg old) 3 handset I might be able to borrow for a couple of weeks???

You shouldn’t need a specific 3 handset, just one that works with 3G (i.e.: a lot of new mobile phones).

Even before it bricked, it’s pretty dodgy. Windows Mobile is still slow, clumsy, etc. I don’t know why I let myself buy another WM device… I shoulda known better.
I gotta sy that i’m already looking forward to a years time when i can buy the latest n95 version or similar. The dopod and windows mobile are too little of everything and not enough of anything if you get me.
I’ve got an old 3 handset which you can borrow. I’ll bring it on thursday if i can find a charger (this might be a problem). I’ll let you know.

actually Cam it was a semi-serious question as I am looking for a Windows Mobile device, or the alternative is a $100 prepaid.
