My Birthday… soon

Yup, my birthday is coming up soon (Oct 10) and I know you’re all dying to show me how much you appreciate the fact that I’ve spent the last three years slaving over a hot microphone to produce thousands of hours of free content for you.

“But Cameron,” you ask, “how can we ever repay you? We are but humble folk.” I know, I know, my children, but fear not. There is a way.

G’DAY WORLD #287 – Kevin Anderson, The Guardian’s Blog Editor (X | Media | Lab)

Another video from X | Media | Labs (yes, Caroline and Melissa, I’m getting there)… this one is with the gentleman I prefer to think of as Mr Suw Kevin Anderson. Kevin is the Blog Editor at The Guardian in the UK. In this short video (my tape ran out at the end of a long day), Kevin gives his views on how MSM sites distinguish between a journalist’s blog and their articles.

Become part of the G’Day World conversation.

I’ve created a couple of groups inside Second Life. You can now add yourself to the following groups:

  • Friends Of G’Day World
  • MODM
  • The Podcast Network
  • If I knew how to link directly to those groups from here, I would. But I don’t. So for now you just need to search for them in-world. Or you can add “Cameron Switchblade” to your friends and check out the groups I belong to.

If you’re a member of Facebook, you can ADD ME AS A FRIEND and then ADD YOURSELF TO THE G’DAY WORLD GROUP.

You can show your love by buying me stuff from my Amazon wish list.

Add me to your Twitter account.

    You might DIGG the show.

    Mr BugMeNot Revealed!

One of the regular surprises at MODM is the people who turn up. I’m always meeting people who run companies I have heard of but never knew they were from Melbourne. Last night it was the guy from BugMeNot. I can’t tell you his name. And I can’t show you his face. All I can show you is this shot. He’s threatened me with physical pain if I show you any more. But he does have a very exciting new project coming out soon which G’Day World will have an exclusive on. Right, guys?? Right???! Don’t forget – I’ve got the goods to blackmail you now if I don’t get what I want.

    Mr Bug Me Not

Thanks to everyone who turned up last night. Lots of new people came for the first time and I think everyone had a great time. MODM 6 will be on October 4. Register here.
