Geoffrey Bowll is the MD of Melbourne-based ad agency Starship. I chatted with him yesterday about the demise of TV, the rise of the creative class and the fragmentation of media. It was great to find someone in the Aussie advertising industry who is excited about social networking, Second Life and Twitter.

If I knew how to link directly to those groups from here, I would. But I don’t. So for now you just need to search for them in-world. Or you can add “Cameron Switchblade” to your friends and check out the groups I belong to.
If you’re a member of Facebook, you can ADD ME AS A FRIEND and then ADD YOURSELF TO THE G’DAY WORLD GROUP.
Add me to your Twitter account.

Hey Cameron,
I know I’m a little late on this one, but I had a listen to the interview with Geoffrey Bowll today and was suitably impressed. Its good to see that not all marketers are sleazy wankers with an over inflated opinion of themselves 😛
Nice work!
Finally got around to listening to this. Great interview. Geoffrey sounded like a pretty cool guy.
If you want to try out the Wii just let me know. I’ll invite you over and I can whoop your arse at Wii Tennis 🙂
What a great interview and a what cool guy Geoffrey is. And yes, there were at least 2 females listening… but there was nothing he said that was offensive anyway… It was so nice to hear someone from an “old school” indudstry like marketing and advertising being really into some of the new ways of thinking. Excellent.
