Register now for MODM 4! We had a good 50 people there for the last two events and I think everyone had a great time. Free booze, free snacks, geeky talk, what’s not to love?
Thanks Michael Kordahi (aka Delicate Genius) for putting your Corporate AMEX to the test! Avoiding having to approve that expense form isn’t what made Frank move to Seattle, is it? DG’s photos are up here.
The August event will again be on at ACMI Lounge in Fed Square. Register your attendance at Facebook Events. Sponsor to be announced soon (as soon as I find one).
Cam, is this some kind of covert scam to get people into the massive time-waster that is Facebook? I can’t even find out what day the event is on!
At least with upcoming you could see the event details, even though you couldn’t RSVP…
Is not coming until the event is posted somewhere other than FaceBook, even then one’s calendar will need to be consulted!
What’s wrong with using Facebook to track registrations? I prefer it to Yahoo/Upcoming because it allows us to 1) email everyone if there is a change of venue and 2) it is WAYYYY more viral at the moment so there is a better chance of people finding out about the event.
Because I am not getting involved in FaceBook until I can tame my existing social networks, kind of like you were not getting involved in twitter. 🙂
At least you could tell us where and when it will be.
Ditto.
And setting up a facebook account isn’t as easy as just filling in a form (as it is with upcoming), because then you have to setup your profile, then add all your friends that have added you or they’ll get pissed off, invite other friends, then get distracted by all the things you can do there…
Besides, you have a blog for a reason, and there’s an MODM site for a reason too, both of which I have added to my feed reader.
For those not really interested in this argument, check out the MODM site at (www.modm.info) for the venue and date.
Thanks for the tip Sam!
And yes Cam I have a facebook phobia!
