You have the opportunity to be the Primary Sponsor of the Special DEMO@15 Edition of the G’Day World podcast by bidding for it at our eBay auction.
From February 13 – 15, 2005, Cameron Reilly, co-founder and co-host of the infamous G’Day World podcast will be attending the DEMO conference () in Scottsdale, Arizona.
While he’s there he will be trying to interview everyone he can get his grubby little hands on. The G’Day World shows that come out of the trip will be groundbreaking, historic and maybe even interesting.
Imagine Cameron saying, at the beginning of each show, “this historic episode of the Special DEMO@15 Edition of G’Day World is brought to you by our bloody good mates at **INSERT YOUR COMPANY NAME HERE**. They wanted me to tell you that their **INSERT YOUR PRODUCT NAME HERE** is pretty kickass and you should rush out and buy one today before you’re neighbour does and laughs at you for being sooo, like, totally June 2004.” All its will take for your company to be part of this, is to be the winning bidder on the auction.
Who listens to G’Day World? Everyone who counts. We’ve got over 5000 people from around the world downloading each show. We don’t know who they all are, but we do know that many of them are movers and shakers in the IT & business world. Bloggers. CEOs. CIOs. PR gurus. Software evangelists. Want to get your message out to them in an innovative way?
THEN PONY UP WITH THE BUCKAROONIES.
The highest bidder wins the Primary Sponsorship. Losers (and don’t kid yourself, if you don’t win, you are a loser, not “the leader of the people who didn’t win”) will get a chance to be secondary sponsors of the Special DEMO@15 Edition.
HOW MUCH IS THIS SPONSORSHIP WORTH?
Well we don’t know, or we wouldn’t have put it up for auction. Of course, we could carry on with a lot of “the value of the earlobes” discussion, and maybe you’d buy it, maybe you wouldn’t, but we’d rather YOU tell US how much you think it’s worth.
HOW MANY SHOWS WILL YOU DO FROM DEMO?
It depends on how many interviews we get lined up, but we promise to do at LEAST two shows from there and no more than forty-seven. Somewhere in between.
WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH THE MONEY?
Well that’s our business, but since you asked so nicely? we might use it to visit NY and Seattle and do some additional interviews with movers and shakers? we might use it to book a hotel room in Scottsdale Arizona so we don’t end up sleeping on the sidewalk and getting molested by the local constabulary? we might contribute it to a needy cause? but what’s more needy that funding the continued growth of good podcasts for your ears?
So start bidding and may the highest bidder win. Oh yeah, I guess that’s how this auction thing works, right?
yeahgoodonyamate.
Over here at the G’day World offices, we’re very humbled and excited by the responses we’ve been getting to the recent shows. Our subscriber numbers are going through the roof, and we have had well over an amazing 10,000 MP3’s downloaded since the beginning of January!
So, in the spirit of “if you got a spark, pour petrol on it”, we have decided it is time to branch out. We will soon be lauching a new and (we hope) exciting range of regular podcasts dedicated to specific subjects. And here’s the most exciting news – you get to vote on which shows come first!
This is going to be huge folks…its been in the planing stages for a while now, and its time to get the ball rolling…
The survey is limited to the first 100 responses, so, if you want to have a say in the future of the G’day World “franchise” (hehe), Go and vote on the survey now!
Wanna leave us a message?
Add “gdayworld” to your Skype contacts and then call it. Our Skype Answering Machine will record your message…as long as it’s under 120 seconds of course…(and don’t go on some sort of stupid rant… unless the rant is telling us how much we rock, then you can keep calling again and again… )
If you’re message is clever or interesting, we may even play it on the show. The rest of the messages we will just laugh about in the privacy of our own homes.
Valentine’s Day is only 4 weeks away and in 2005 there will be only one way for any true geek to send their loved one a Vanetine message. Forget cards, flowers or e-cards. They are soooooo 20th Century.
IN 2005, THE ONLY WAY TO TELL SOMEONE YOU LOVE THEM IS WITH A G’DAY WORLD VALENTINE.
What’s a “G’DAY WORLD VALENTINE???” I hear you ask? Well here’s how it works.
Well well….it seems we have been nominated in the “Best Overall Australian Blog” category in the 2005 Australian Blog Awards. Head on over to Kek’s blog, register to vote and help to inflate our ego’s even further 😉
We also make it into the Best of state categories. Cameron’s blog has also been nominatd for the “Best Victorian Blog” and my SplaTT’s blog has been nominated for “Best NSW Blog” as well…ohhh…shucks…
While you are in the voting mood, don’t forget to visit podcastalley.com and stick your hand up for us on that site as well…we keep floating around 9th and 10th position and that is doing our ego’s (especially Cameron’s) no good at all…
