New shows on TPN

A couple of new shows have started on TPN in the last week.

Quotiki

This has been one of my personal favourite podcasts since Dave Gray pointed it out to me six months ago, so I’ve excited they have joined the Team TPN. Richard and Shawn discuss quotations which appear on their web site Quotiki.com. For example, in their latest episode they have quotes from Queen Elizabeth II, The Ultimate Warrior of wrestling fame, Laura Ingalls Wilder and her ‘Little House on the Prarie’, and more. Educational and funny.

Speaking of education…
Education Transformation
Ben Wilkoff is a teacher in the USA and “Education Transformation” this is a new show examining “Education 2.0” – how teachers, students and parents can use modern tools like blogs, podcasts and the web as a central component of education. In his first episode, has has an interview with Paige Kuni (Intel’s Worldwide Manager for K-12 Education).

Lots more new shows launching on TPN soon as well!

TPN listed in the Top 60 Aussie Web2.0 Apps

Ross Dawson of Future Exploration Network has compiled a list of Aussie Web2.0 startups for ReadWriteWeb. He was nice enough to include TPN in the top five with Omnidrive, Atlassian, Gnoos and Minti. I’m still not exactly sure that TPN is a Web2.0 company and I’m not sure Atlassian (enterprise wiki software) is either… or Omnidrive (online file storage) for that matter (although Ross says it is becoming “a highly diverse, deeply integrated online utility”, whatever that means). Anyway… it’s all good exposure. RWW has a pretty huge readership. Thanks Ross. When are you going to invite me to speak at one of your events? I see you’ve got my ungrateful protégé speaking. Bah.

And thanks Richard McManus. I feel bad for taking your money at liar dice at the TechCrunch ranch now.

And if you believe that…. I’ve got a Web2.0 Bridge to sell ya.

Need Help From Creative Types

I suck at show names. Our strategy for the last couple of years has been to stay pretty basic. “The PSP Show”, etc. But in some cases, that kind of self-descriptive naming convention doesn’t work. I need help from some clever creative types to help us come up with new names for upcoming shows. Anyone out there want to help?

The first show is the one that Stan Relihan is going to produce on business networking – using new tools like LinkedIn, etc, but also using old fashioned f2f methods. How do you build a powerful business network and then leverage it effectively?

The names we’ve been tossing around like “The Art Of Business Networking” just sound either too klutzy or too much like a Tony Robbins seminar.

Any suggestions???
